Project AccessNet
Interreg “Greece-Bulgaria 2007-2013”
“AccessNet” is the acronym standing for the project "Developing quality accessibility networks for creating a common future". The project is a partnership action with 2 Greek and 1 Bulgarian partner.
The partners are:

Region of East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece (Partner 3) |
The 3 partners are bound to Accessnet project with a Partnership Declaration and Egnatia Odos S.A. under all 3 parties consensus has been appointed Lead Partner.
The application was submitted by the partners on 9 June 2011.
The project was approved eligible for funding of 33 million Euros in November 2011. It will be implemented within the European Territorial Cooperation Programme “Greece-Bulgaria 2007-2013”, funded by 85% by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and by 15% by national contribution.
The project duration is 46 months, starting from 24/11/11.
Egnatia Odos S.A., in Greece, participates in the project Accessnet with the studies of the road section Xanthi – Echinos – Greek-Bulgarian borders.
The Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA), of the Bulgarian Ministry of Regional Development & Public Works participates in the project with the construction of 2 road sections: Road II-86 Chepelare – Sokolovtsi and Road II-55.
The Greek Region of Macedonia and Thrace participates in the project with the construction of Nevrokopi Northeast Bypass road section.
